SuperRigs 2025 Recap: A Legendary Weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway

The engines roared and the chrome gleamed as Shell Rotella® SuperRigs® 2025 rolled into the iconic Atlanta Motor Speedway from May 29–31. The 43rd annual celebration of hard work, horsepower, and hometown pride brought together the finest working trucks in North America—and did not disappoint.

Taking home the top honor of Best of Show was Kenny Ziglar II from Rawlins, Wyoming, with his jaw-dropping 2007 Peterbilt 379 dubbed “Scrapin By.” This custom ride turned heads from the moment it rolled in, showcasing a flawless balance of beauty and grit. Not only did Kenny drive away with the $10,000 prize, but Scrapin By also claimed second place in the fiercely competitive Best Lights category.

The energy on the ground was electric, with owner-operators and truck fans gathering to admire the craftsmanship and passion behind each rig. More than $25,000 in prizes were awarded, along with coveted MyMilesMatter rewards. As always, the highlight of the weekend was not just the competition, but the storytelling and sense of community that filled every inch of the speedway.

Raiko Graveran of Orlando, Florida, earned the Best of Show First Runner-Up title and $4,000 for his immaculate 1995 Freightliner FLD-120, while Buck Crombie from Checotah, Oklahoma, took home Second Runner-Up with his 1989 Peterbilt 379. Buck’s rig also earned the Best Theme award, further showcasing the creative spirit of SuperRigs.

In the Tractor/Trailer Division, Brandon Jack of Bonham, Texas, earned top honors with his sleek 2023 Peterbilt 389. David Dyck of Winnipeg, N.D., impressed judges in the Tractor Division with his 2013 Peterbilt 388. The Classic Division belonged to Todd Scruggs from Magnolia, Arkansas, whose 1982 Peterbilt 359 earned not only first place, but also the Steve Sturgess Best Theme Award—a true double win for a truly standout ride.

Meanwhile, the public had their say in the People’s Choice Award, which went to Tarik Al-Amin II of Crete, Illinois, for his stunning 2023 Kenworth W900L. Voting took place online, and in a heartfelt twist, Shell Rotella donated $1 to the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund for every vote cast, supporting truckers in need across the country.

Twelve trucks were selected for the 2026 Shell Rotella SuperRigs calendar, ensuring these showstoppers will be celebrated all year long, with one special rig featured on the back cover. Stay tuned to Shell Rotella’s Facebook, Instagram, and X accounts as we share photos and stories from this unforgettable event.

From the shining chrome to the heartfelt stories behind the wheel, SuperRigs 2025 proved once again that these are more than just trucks; they’re rolling works of art, powered by pride. See you next year!
